Have you heard about The National Quilt Museum's Block of the Month Club? On the 1st of each month, a new block pattern is released on their website and on their Block of the Month Facebook group. The 10" x 10" block patterns are each designed by a different quilter, and represent an exhibit currently on display at The National Quilt Museum.

I know next to nothing about Norway, except I'm pretty sure I'd love to go there to see the Northern Lights. Designer Daisy Aschehoug of Warm Folk designed this block after a Norwegian rack for drying fish.

First up, and last week's block, is Pantheon. Pantheon was designed by one of my quilt along cohosts, Lee Heinrich of Freshly Pieced. Lee was inspired by the ceiling of the Pantheon in Rome, Italy. Such amazing architectural details.

I designed this block and was inspired by the detailing on the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I simplified the innermost section of the stonework and focused on the outer points and inner diamond shape.
