Welcome to Week 17 of the Summer Sampler Series 2018 : Summer Road Trip quilt along!  We almost couldn't have a trip around the world without visiting New York City.  Pattern and fabric designer Christopher Thompson of The Tattooed Quilter takes us there, inspired by the art deco glamour of the Chrysler Building.

I've been pretty excited to make this block.  Not only because I love the design, but also because I'm working on a rainbow gradient theme and this block ties in the yellows, greens and blues.  This design also showcases why I love foundation paper piecing so much.  It makes a complex looking block, easy!
