Pantheon & Petra ~ Summer Sampler 2018
Hello friends! Well, I was so in the zone at my sewing machine last week that I completely missed posting my Summer Sampler Series quilt along block. So today I am sharing two blocks! First up, and last week's block, is Pantheon. Pantheon was designed by one of my quilt along cohosts, Lee Heinrich of Freshly Pieced. Lee was inspired by the ceiling of the Pantheon in Rome, Italy. Such amazing architectural details.
This week's block was designed by my other Summer Sampler cohost, Katie Blakesley of Swim, Bike, Quilt. Katie's block, Petra, was inspired by the ancient buildings carved in rock that she saw during a college trip to Petra.
I can't believe there are only three blocks left! I have so enjoyed seeing everyone's blocks in the quilt along Facebook group. Especially those of you who have created your own blocks from your own travels! It's really fun to see people step outside of their comfort zones to learn new techniques and even start designing blocks.
Happy sewing this week!
