Welcome to Week 18 of the Summer Sampler Series 2018 : Summer Road Trip quilt along!  Our final block!  This week's design is really interesting to me.  It comes to us from Norway.  I know next to nothing about Norway, except I'm pretty sure I'd love to go there to see the Northern Lights.  Designer Daisy Aschehoug of Warm Folk designed this block after a Norwegian rack for drying fish.

Summer Sampler Series 2018 quilt along

My tip for this week's block involves the final step of squaring up your block after the half rectangle triangles are sewn to the sides of the paper pieced center unit.  Don't forget to leave the 1/4" seam allowance at the top point and bottom points of your block.  That way you won't lose those points when you sew your quilt top together.
