Fierce

I love star quilt blocks. I could probably exclusively sew stars for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy. So I really enjoyed this week’s Summer Sampler 2019 block, Fierce! Fierce is designed by Kitty Wilkin of Night Quilter, and if you look at the very center of this nested star block, you will see that there is some seriously tiny piecing happening. Which just happens to be our skill for the week! Kitty is a master of tiny piecing, check out her tiny sampler. Adorable!

Behold! The tiniest thing I have ever sewn! This center star finishes at under 2”. I felt like I had gigantic hands as I was making it.

My Summer Sampler blocks are just about to push my other quilt blocks off the design wall. They look great together so far!
