Here we are in Week 6 of the Summer Sampler quilt along! This week's block, Corner Canyon, was designed by Amy Smart of Diary of a Quilter. When I was making the Corner Canyon block, the word that really stuck in my head was "clever".

This block has just that sort of clever construction ~ where you sew different shapes together, cut, open, sew more shapes to it, cut, open...then BAM! You have a block unit with a bunch of triangles and you aren't entirely sure how that magically happened. :)
Our first six blocks are now complete, and it's starting to look great! At this point all the colors are included a bit, and you can start getting a feel for the overall quilt.
