Patchwork Sandwich

Well, despite the fact that a certain baby was being a stinker and didn't want to take his regularly scheduled nap today (during which a certain 2 year old also naps), I was able to get the patchwork throw made into a quilt sandwich!  Am I the only one out there who still bastes with safety pins?  I only ask because when I look at other blogs and there are pictures of quilting, there aren't pins.  I'm starting to think everyone else is using that adhesive spray, but that scares me.  Maybe I'll try it out on something small.  I'd love for the pins not to get in the way, but I don't want my fabric slipping around.

This quilt is heavier than the other's I've made, so I'm sure I'll be getting quite the workout while I quilt it.  I'm not kidding, I'm either very out of shape or quilting is hard work!  Probably both.
