Announcing the Lighthouse Quilt Along
As promised, at the end of this month I'm going to begin hosting a quilt along for my
. This is a fun pattern and we will spend some time talking about quilt design, fabric estimation and paper piecing. If you have never paper pieced before, please don't be scared away. I've done several quilt alongs and each one has successfully created new paper piecing experts! You can do it!
Lighthouse Quilt Along Schedule
October 30 ~ Lighthouse Quilt Top Design Explore various color ideas and quilt top sizes.
November 6 ~ Lighthouse Test Block Assembly Make a test block to be sure you are comfortable with the amounts of fabrics used for paper piecing. This is important to do before you buy and cut your fabric for the entire quilt top.
November 13 ~ Lighthouse Block Assembly Cut your fabric, assemble your blocks.
November 20 ~ Lighthouse Quilt Top Assembly Put those blocks together to finish your quilt top.
If you are not able to participate at the same time I'm posting or want to work at a slower pace, no worries. The quilt along will be available on my blog as long as my blog exists. For all links and details, including badges for your blogs, click on the Lighthouse QAL tab at the top of page.
