Summer Sampler 2020 ~ Trellis

Today is the day many have been waiting for since we wrapped up Summer Sampler Series 2019…block one of Summer Sampler 2020! For those of us “behind the scenes”, the break hasn’t seemed that long. 😂 But we are always excited/nervous on launch day of a new summer long quilt along.

Our first block, Trellis by Malka Dubrawsky of Stitch in Dye, creates a really lovely plaid effect. Fun story about Malka…and I doubt she even knows this…back in 2011, Malka hosted a class and it happened to be in my little suburb of Chicago (Lisle, IL). I couldn’t believe it when I found out, because I was a big fan of hers and NO ONE comes to my town! One of my Summer Sampler cohosts Lee and I knew each other but definitely not as closely as we do today. Lee came down from Milwaukee and took Malka’s class with me. You can see the photos here! As you can imagine, it is such a HUGE treat to be working with Malka to launch our Summer Sampler quilt along this year!

It is never too late to join the Summer Sampler Series quilt along. When you join, you will automatically receive all the patterns that have been released up until that point.
