Spring Star ~ Paper Chain BOM

Here we are, halfway through January, and I’m just sharing my first month finish for the Paper Chain Block of the Month quilt along! Introducing Spring Star, my design for January. As you know, this quilt along focuses on Foundation Paper Pieced blocks. In our Welcome Packet, we provided an in depth tutorial for those of you new to the process or in need of a refresher. My favorite new-to-me technique that I learned over the last year was Lee’s tutorial to get that fabric positioned perfectly every.single.time.

I’m using an alternate colorway to the “official” Paper Chain mockup. I’m thinking these colors will look nice at the holiday season when we wrap up all 12 blocks in December.

These are all Robert Kaufman Kona Solids: Petunia, Cerise, Berry, Celestial, Green Tea, Ice Frappe, Aloe, and Glacier.

I hope you will quilt along with us - especially those of you who prefer a more relaxed pace to our annual Summer Sampler Series quilt alongs. One block a month is very doable!
